Welcome again to ANTH 1002: Anthropology for a better world.
This class will be an adventure. To make sure that you each grow and develop in your thinking and understanding, stick to the weekly cycle.

- Set a weekly schedule that works for you.
- Consider talking to an academic advisor about your strategies for the short and the long term.

Discuss the UPIA grid
Form groups of 3 or 4.
Introduce yourselves. Select one reporter and one note taker.
Discuss:
- For each quadrant, generate some examples of a behavior or trait that belongs there.
- Which were easy and which were hard?
- Which ones were controversial? Why?
We will hear from each group’s reporter about what was easy, hard, and controversial.
